When Luis begins accompanying his father to work (he is enrolled in a nearby high school), he considers his father to be nothing more than a custodian.... Alfonso holds the title of lab technician, and Luis has always thought of his dad as a "brilliant scientist".... Luis is angry that his father is content to hold a menial job that he is far too qualified for.
