When Iona in Chekhov's Misery attempt to share his anxiety but every time he does, he is struck with the coldness of others. This shows how human being can be psychologically separated from society. explain

Iona has detached himself from everyone.... he wants to express his grief.... share his anguish, but he is unable to do so. Note, Iona's only company is the people he carts from place to place in his sledge. He is surrounded by stranger, when what he really needs is to be surrounded by family.
