what was uncomfortable about albert camus position in Africa

Daru is a teacher. He is French but he desperately wants to be a part of the Arab community. He feels he belongs in Algeria because everywhere else, he is in exile. Unfortunately Daru will never be accepted in the community because he looks like the French occupier.
