Chapter Eighteen
Chapter Eighteen
Chapter Seventeen’s title is ‘Marking Time,’ and that is what happens in this chapter. Poirot and Hastings talk and reflect on the case. The press is starting to make a big deal about the murders. Hastings gets angry that Poirot is not more active in trying to find the culprit, but Poirot reassures him that he is reflecting, and that sometimes action can be inward. Poirot wants to make sure to talk to everyone again because people leave out important details that they do not know are important.
