One of the styles and techniques utilized by Mr. Dickens in this work is that of the serialized novel. It was published in the paper and was written so well that the readers flocked to buy a paper as soon as it was out just so they could read more of the story. Additionally, Dickens used dialect..written to portray the accented and slang use of language by various characters. He also depicted highly idealized characters in very emotionally charged scenes to juxtapose with harsh realities of various situations.
