Gabriel Drake, in The Faerie Path, is the antagonist of the story. He at first appears to Tania as a friend, even a long lost love. Later, he reveals himself to be power hungry and slightly deranged. He is able to use his ability to create false illusions to make others see what he wants them to see. He seduces Tania's sister into betraying them all. In the end, he nearly succeeds in destroying the world of Faerie. His ultimate goal is to use Tania's power in order to not only conquer the world of Fae but to enter into the mortal world as a god.
