In The Faerie Path, Tania stumbles to the hospital bathroom because she isn't feeling well. She ends up on the floor on her hands and knees. While there she feels her back open up and these wings appear. Thinking that she's in a nice drug induced dream, she flies out of the bathroom window. Later, she crash lands back on the floor and the nurses find her. When the nurse helps her to stand the nurse comments on the two tears in the back of her hospital gown.
