Imagination can serve as an escape, allowing one's soul to forget the pains and troubles (even the evil) that surround him on a daily basis. He also states that in his imagination he can see the restfulness and exquisite ecstasy that comes with death. The imagination allows a person to transcend all things and be like the nightingale's song...timeless.
