What do you learn about Bilbo in chapter 1?

In Chapter One, we learn that Bilbo Baggins is a peaceful and domesticated hobbit, who enjoys life in his comfortable home at Bag End. He lives a quiet life, filled with good meals and little excitement. His mother was Belladonna Took, who came from a wealthy but adventurous family. His father's family was rather boring by comparison and respectable.
