English & Literature The pin that the monk wears in the canterbury tales. Why is this pin strange or unusual for a monk? Asked by chamel92 on 16 Nov 07:26 Last updated by anonymous on 17 Nov 22:14
The pin that the monk wears in Canterbury Tales is quite odd for a member of the clergy to be wearing. First, it is golden (so much for the vow of poverty). Secondly, it is a lover's pin with a love knot at the end (so much for the vow of chastity).
