The novel, Tiya, by Samarpan is the story of a parrot that hears a nebulous voice urging him to leave the Banyan tree. This is a heroe's journey of sorts as he flies through many lands, has many adventures, and in the end realizes his own strength of spirit (as well as his weaknesses).
