Parvana's Journey

Parvana and Asif steal some eggs and a chicken. How do they justify the theft? What do you think of their reasoning?

Parvana worked for the man, cleaning his chicken house in exchange for food. She initially saw the eggs and did not take them because stealing was wrong. When the man failed to keep his part of the bargain and give the children food for their work, Parvana felt justified in going back because the man cheated them..... he cheated children.
