Irony can be connected to humor because irony is when something is happening and is percieved by one person as a specific occurance, but is actually something else. For instance if someone believes that certain people are thier friends but it turns out that they are just making fun of the first peron. The connection to humor is that it may be funny that the person does not realize what is going on so they do and say things that are funny.
