Aunt Alexandra was well respected and treated like royalty. She involved herself in the community and hosted numerous social gatherings, most of which, Scout was expected to attend. Over the course of the novel, our opinion of Aunt Alexandra improves. We come to see that what we believe is unwanted intervention..... is actually based upon her concern for her brother. At least, that is my opinion.
