In the Poem Teenagers by Pat Mora, What does the poem imply about how the teenagers feel about the speaker? Explain how you know by referencing the text.

Poem:

"One day they disappearinto their rooms.Doors and lips shut, and we become strangersin our own home.I pace the hall, hear whispers,a code I knew but can’t remember, mouthed by mouths I taught to speak.Years later the door opens.I see faces I once held, open as sunflowers in my hands. I seefamiliar skin now stretched on long bodiesthat move past meglowingalmost like pearls."

From the text, we can infer that the teenagers find the speaker to be somewhat invasive or intrusive, which is why they shut both their lips and their doors.
