Most dynamic characters change throughout a movie or a book's plotline. So, for your essay you would want to talk about how Tony was at the beginning of the movie; how he was a by the book kind of officer; never questioned anyone in his office. Then the ethical and moral dilemma of being ordered to basically abandon those people to their deaths (and his realizing that he couldn't in good conscience do that). He becomes resourceful and finds an inner strength/courage that he might not have otherwise.
