How does deportation change Moshe?

When Moishe returns to Sighet he is terrified and repeatedly tries to convince the people of the atrocities he has seen and experienced. Unfortunately, no one takes him seriously. The people of Sighet believe that he is merely trying to get attention, and that at worst.... he has gone insane.
