A good way to begin any essay is with an introductory paragraph. This paragraph should have an attention getting statement at the beginning, or an interesting quote.Often an interesting point or statistic can be made. After the 'hook' has been utilized, then the writer needs to mention what the paper is going to be about, introduce the major points in both the contrast/compare, and conclude the paragraph with the overall thesis.
