How can I introduce and cite a paraphrased idea? (Any examples would be helpful?

According to the APA writing style there are two correct way to cite a paraphrased idea. The first is that you beegin the paragraph with the authors name followed by the date of publication in parentheses.
Ex: Wagner (2010) says....
The second is to put the authors last name followed by a comma and followed by the publication date in parentheses at the end of the paragraph or paraphrase.
Ex: ...education in America (Wagner, 2010).
