Diane Grosch is employed as a computer programmer, a job in which, she makes plenty of money and has plenty of material possessions to prove it. Unfortunately, she hates her job. Using the program's three questions, Diane comes to the realization that her monthly income is less than her expenses. This knowledge leaves her determined to decrease her expenses drastically. Diane cuts eating in restaurants to about once a month. During her first five years after starting the program her expenses steadily decrease until they are under $500 a month. She now volunteers her services as a computer programmer, but no longer hates her work.
