Who is Karen Harper from Word of Honor and what is their importance?

Karen Harper is a military attorney. She is assigned the task of looking into the massacre in order to determine whether the military has a case against Tyson and whether there's sufficient cause to take the case to trial. Harper and Tyson are attracted to each other, but that's where it ends. Harper recommends that Tyson be tired and remains in the courtroom to watch the proceedings. She is also one of the people who advises Tyson that he needs to retain a lawyer.
