Andrew Picard is a writer and author of the book, Hue: Death of a City. When he and Tyson meet, Picard admits that he wasn't honest in his book, or he would also have revealed a situation in which he ran away from a boy, grossly injured who needed his help. When Picard is called on to testify, he says that he stands behind his book, and that it is presented as he understood the facts to be. He adds that trying Tyson for the crime is a "travesty of justice" and that the charges should not be pursued.
