La Que Sabe is "The One Who Knows." As the name suggests, she is from the Latin tradition. This tradition is from the Americas, more so than from Spain. She turns up throughout the book being apparently one of the favorites of the author. She is the Wild Woman in the form of a wizard: the powerful and wise old lady. As the One Who Knows, she is able to assist others in gaining knowledge and wisdom.
