This book has multiple purposes, and as a result, the author's tone varies by story. Readers sense the author's personality coming through, which is not only acceptable but welcome within this context. The language is relatively simple, although not simplistic. Presumably, given the education level of the author, this is to facilitate accessibility to the widest possible readership. While it is sad that she has not made use of more complex prose, it is fabulous that she has made the work clear and comprehensible to many women of various educational levels.
