According to Ressler, Ted Bundy is likely the worst serial killer in American history. Although only twenty-two bodies were found, people believe he may have killed as many as one-hundred. Ressler did his best to get Bundy to tell police where the other bodies were buried, but Bundy refused and was finally executed.
