The language of White Rose, Black Forest is accessible and informal. Dempsey uses relatively simple words to construct his spy thriller. He also allows the reader a great deal of insight into Franka's thoughts, using her outlook to describe the surroundings and emotions that she feels. There is little slang in the dialogue that happens between any of the characters in the novel. The use of simple language allows the author to appeal to a broad audience and makes the text more accessible.
