Cambridge, Massachusetts, is the home city of Sophie, her parents, and Rachel and Grace and their families. It is where Sophie and her friends attend school and hang out in their free time. Cambridge, located just outside of Boston, is also home to a reservoir, and a pond deep in the woods which Sophie and Murphy come to call Valadon Pond.
