Why do Jessica, Dolores, Nina, and Irene drive to Boston in the conclusion of the novel, What Happened to Ruthy Ramirez?

Toward the close of What Happened to Ruthy Ramirez, Jessica, Dolores, Nina, and Irene drive to Boston where Catfight is filmed. When they arrive, they sit in the car outside of the hotel waiting for the TV show contestants to emerge. When they do not see Ruby, Dolores and Irene convince the bouncer to let them into the nearby club. Boston serves as the setting for the Ramirez’s discovery that Ruby is not Ruthy. When they return to Staten Island, Jessica, Nina, and Dolores actively support each other through the grief of losing Ruthy once again.
