How does Chinhui communicate in the book, Whale: A Novel?

While Chunhui is a nonverbal character, the drawings of herself, the baby, and fleabane are a physical manifestation of her thoughts. After the truck driver leaves, Chunhui feels lonely in her isolation. She waits for him to return as she attempts to save her sick baby. Later, she articulates this experience through the drawings on her bricks.
