In what way does Violet take her revenge upon Rupert in the novel, Weyward?

To get revenge for her rape, Violet curses Frederick with a case of mayfly infestation in Orton Hall. The infestation lasts for years with no exterminator able to kill off the bugs. The bugs begin to die off only when Violet dies.
