What does Cadence do to help remember the night of her accident in the novel, We Were Liars?

When Cadence was eight, her father gave her a stack of fairy tale books for Christmas. After her accident, Cadence began writing fairy tales based on the variations of the stories in the books, eventually using her writing to help remember what happened the night of her accident.
