Over the course of the novel, Einstein finds a mate and has puppies. The puppies are as intelligent as their father, and Travis envisions a world where these animals will eventually become common, pushing out their unintelligent counterparts. Travis's image explores the theme of morality, and the reader is left with an image that will be either exciting or scary, depending on the reader's opinion on the subject.
