What does Montfort represent?

Montfort represents hope for a brighter future. For Mare and the Reds specifically, Montfort’s Free Republic is a dream come true. It is a world where Reds and Silvers live in harmony and are all represented no matter their status or abilities. It is also proof of a self-sustaining country, able to care for all of its’ people despite its’ isolation from rest of the world. Montfort is powerful. It is united, and it proves that countries can survive without a King. Ultimately, Montfort’s example is what convinces Cal to give up his crown and rebuild Norta alongside the Reds and Silvers.
