Who is Dwight from Waiting for Normal and what is their importance?

Dwight is Addie's ex-stepfather and is the father of her sisters, Brynna and Katie. Dwight is a loving man who feels that Addie is his own daughter. He feels responsible for Denise because she is the mother of his children, and because he knows that if he abandons Denise Addie will suffer too. Dwight knows that it is just a matter of time before Denise does something to put Addie in danger. He has been told by the courts that he has no claim on Addie because she is not his daughter. Dwight is a quiet man who doesn't like confrontation. He is also the the most stable, constant person in Addie's life.
