What does the cabin in Norway metaphorically represent in the novel, Violeta?

The cabin serves as an effective metaphor for the peace and romantic support that Violeta finds late in life. Importantly, her son Juan Martín also receives political asylum in Norway and spends much of his life there. In this way, Norway becomes an extension of home for the Del Valle family.
