Who is Herman Goring, Commander of the Luftwaffe (Air Force) from Lost Victories and what is their importance?

Herman Goring was the head of the Luftwaffe and one of Hitler's closest confidants.. Goring was responsible for the mistakes made in stopping the British evacuation of Dunkirk. He later assured Hitler that the Luftwaffe would be able to supply the Stalingrad pocket...... which wasn't true.
