What is the theme in V For Vendetta by Alan Moore?

Revenge and political upheaval are themes that connect in this book. V is an individual with a vendetta. He was experimented on and wants revenge on the people who did this to him. His vendetta becomes an extended metaphor against the fascist political system that allowed V and others to suffer.
