How does Alan Moore use imagery in V For Vendetta?

Much like Alan Moore's The Watchmen the imagery can get pretty violent depending on the superhero. V can get pretty violent as he unleashes justice upon his damned. The colors dark and the blood is vivid red. Remember this is a graphic novel so the art tells the narrative as much as the words.
