Connor is 16 and has been scheduled to be unwound by his parents. Unlike many unwinds, Connor finds out about his impending unwinding and he runs away before it can happen. The story's protagonist, Connor, and a band of other unwinds, make their way to a rumored 'safe haven' for unwinds.
