Roland and the episode with Risa in the bathroom indicates that at some very near date there will be another encounter and that it will be deadly. Also, the Admiral's true purpose and the tale of the unwind that is searching and gathering all of his lost parts to join them back together is a big foreshadowing since the story itself is mentioned several times.
