What sequence of events led to the resolution of the problem?

Aria is the main character. The problem was she lost in touch with her mom and she exiled her pod.

1) After leaving the pod, Aria suffers from contact shock.

2) Peregrine saves Aria when her foot is wedged in the rocks near the cave.

3) Peregrine offers Aria protection in exchange for locating Talon.
