Who is Preston Borders?

Preston Borders has been on death row for years after being sentenced by Bosch for a brutal murder decades earlier. His innocence seems to be increasingly likely, however, in the light of new DNA evidence. Furthermore, Borders accused Bosch of planting evidence against him in the old case. However, investigative work by Bosch reveals that Borders had simply been part of a devious conspiracy with Lance Cronyn. Borders had committed the original murder.
