Who is Jerry Edgar

Jerry Edgar is a former detective partner of Bosch's who has shifted his career to work for the state medical board by the time of the novel's main events. After being visited by Bosch during the day for professional reasons, Edgar goes to Bosch's house later that night for a more personal discussion. Edgar crucially helps Bosch locate Elizabeth Clayton after she has been turned out onto the street by the legal system.
