Raoul Vicmote de Bragelonne (Twenty Years After) is the illegitimate son of Athos by the Dutchess de Chevreuse. He is fifteen and is living with Athos (though he does not know that Athos is his real father). Raoul joins the army to avoid a hideous engagement and excels.
