Planchet (Twenty Years After) is d'Artagnan's servant, and has been for 20 years. He comes back to assist him on his current adventures even though he has moved on to become a solider for PIedmont's regiment. Planchet is a very strongly developed secondary character. It is he that convinces the people that the man sleeping in the child's bed is indeed the King.
