How does Colman help Millie immediately after Joss's death?

Immediately after Joss's death, but before Colman finds out that Joss was a transgender person, Colman comes to Millie's house and makes all the arrangements and telephone calls that need to be made for his mother, taking care of her and taking some of the stress off of her shoulders.
