What finally happens to Fara Harut? Does he die, is he killed, did the interrogation leave him as like a vegetable?

I don't think there is an exact answer, as there is no definitive fate laid out in the novel. The last mention we have of Harut is on pg. 769, when he supplied information in what is described to be his "delirium."
