What is the theme in Toujours Provence by Peter Mayle?

The transition of relocation is another theme in the book. Peter Mayle and his wife have lived the majority of their lives in England. They decide to relocate to the South of France to a region known as the Provence. Although the idyllic area is charming and isolated and the weather is usually perfect, there are still adjustments that have to be made to the people and customs of a new land.
