What does Ouija Board represent?

The Ouija board is a symbol of the supernatural. Because Bug cannot determine what Uncle Roderick is trying to tell her in typical ways, she decides to try communicating with him through a Ouija board. Bug is unable to receive any response when she and Moira use the board together. When Bug is alone, however, Uncle Roderick sends her the message that she needs to “BU” (122).
