My teacher says that Arthur was nicknamed Boo because they thought of him as some kind of frightening monster. (you know how in movies they say monsters yell out boo and all). She also says that the book "The Gray Ghost" also plays a part in that. (they also thought of Boo Radley as a Hot Steam)
